Prerequisites

Firmware for specific model
Local Network access to the NVR
USB flash drive with firmware for local upgrade
ToolBox and ConfigTool

Step by Step Instructions via ConfigTool

1. Download and install the ToolBox and ConfigTool

2. Open the ConfigTool and find the NVR under “Device Upgrade”

3. Upgrade the file path and open the firmware in bin file. Then click “Operate”

4. Make sure both PC and NVR are under the same stable network

5. Wait for the upgrade to complete

6. The Configtool will show that the upgrade is successful

Step by Step Instructions via U disk

1. Copy the FW into the U disk in advance, and insert the U disk directly into the port of the NVR. The following window will automatically pop up. After that, click “Update”.

2. Click “Update” directly.

3. Choose the FW in bin file and click “OK”

4. Wait for the upgrade to complete
